To apply for a Japan tourist visa from Bangladesh, you must meet certain eligibility criteria:

 

Valid Passport:

Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay in Japan.

 

Financial Stability:

Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Japan.

 

Travel Itinerary:

Detailed plan of your travel, including accommodation and return tickets.

 

Purpose of Visit:

Clear intent to visit Japan solely for tourism purposes.

 

Required Documents

Gathering the required documents meticulously is crucial for a successful visa application. Here is a comprehensive list:

 

Personal Documents:

  • Current passport (minimum validity for 06 months until the planned date of return and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp) with all old passports. If the immediate previous passport is lost, then a G.D (English) copy for that passport is required.
  • Two recent color photographs (2-inch X 1.4 inch) with a white background but no cap and no sunglasses. Please note:the photo should not be more than 03 months old and should not be used in any of the previous visas. The applicant’s ear must be visible in his/her photo.
  • Visit Schedule in Japan.
  • Invitation letter (if you have a guarantor)
  • Document certifying or explaining relations to the guarantor (if you have a guarantor)

           If the travel expenses are borne by a guarantor living in Japan:

  • Guarantee letter.
  • Tax certificate, Bank statement or Income certificate (anyone)
  • Citizen registration or certificate of foreigner registration and passport copy.

 

Professional Documents:

  • For Businessperson: Trade license (renewal) and company’s letterhead pad (2 blank pages) require for proprietorship, partnership, and limited company. (i) Additional documents for partnership: Business Agreement/Deed copy.  (ii) Additional documents for the limited company: Memorandum of the article, certificate of incorporation, form 12 (For limited company), VAT, IRC, and Membership certificate (If any). (iii) Business card:  02 pcs. 
  • For Employee: Original No objection certificate (NOC) mentioned. (i) Address, telephone, and fax number of the company. (ii) Name and position of the countersigning officer in the company. (iii) Name and position of applicants, number of years of service, pay slip / original salary statement/Government order (GO) & original note verbal (for official passport holders). (iv) Visiting card:  02 pcs.
  • For Student: Student ID copy, original school leave letter/ permission of absence mentioned full address, telephone number, name, and function of the person granting permission. If school trips then the purpose, the duration, and the destination must be mentioned in the letter of the school.
  • For Retired Person: Retirement documents.

 

Financial Documents:

  • Bank statement & solvency certificate (original with bank seal and signature) of Last 06 months for both company & personal.
  • Other financial documents such as FDR, saving certificate, share statement (If available).
  • Income tax certificate copy (last 3 years), E-TIN certificate copy.
  • Valuation of other assets such as land, buildings (If any).

 

Overseas Documents:

  • For Tourist Purpose: Personal Invitation letter & evidence of your inviter’s passport and status in Japan (If available).

 

Travel Documents:

  • Air Booking.
  • Hotel Booking.

 

Application Process

 

Step 1: Prepare Documents

Ensure all your documents are accurate and complete. Double-check for any missing information to avoid delays.

 

Step 2: Submit Application

Submit your visa application and documents to the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh or a designated visa application center. Note that walk-in applications are not accepted; you must schedule an appointment for a visa application at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, please send an email with the appointment format attached to this address: consular@dc.mofa.go.jp.

 

Step 3: Visa Fee & Service Charge

  • There is no visa fee for Bangladeshi passport holder.
  • Aro Tours and Travels service charge is – 3,000 BDT.

 

Step 4: Attend the Interview

Step 5:  Processing Time
