There are two primary types of tourist visas for Australia:

 

Visitor Visa (Subclass 600):

eVisitor (Subclass 651):

Available to passport holders from eligible countries, including Bangladesh, the eVisitor visa allows multiple short visits to Australia for tourism or business purposes within a twelve-month period.

 

Applying for an Australia Tourist Visa from Bangladesh

The application process for an Australia tourist visa from Bangladesh is straightforward and can be completed online through the Australian Government’s official website. Applicants need to create an Immigration Account, fill out the online application form, and upload the required documents.

 

Online Application Process

  • Create an Immigration Account on the Department of Home Affairs website.
  • Fill out the online visa application form accurately.
  • Pay the visa application fee using a valid debit or credit card.
  • Upload the required documents, including passport scans and photographs.
  • Submit the application and wait for confirmation.

 

Document Submission

Ensure all required documents are submitted accurately and legibly to avoid delays or rejection of the visa application. Double-check the information provided to minimize errors and increase the chances of approval.

 

Personal Documents:

  • Current passport (minimum validity for 06 months until the planned date of return and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp) with all old passports. If the immediate previous passport is lost, then a G.D (English) copy for that passport is required.
  • Birth certificate / National ID card copy of applicants.
  • Marriage certificate or Divorce certificate copy (as per religion). A Death certificate copy requires for widows. Please note: If the applicant applies with family but his/ her name is not mentioned in the spouse’s passport or vice versa then a marriage certificate copy is mandatory.
  • For non-Bangladeshi applicants: Bangladesh Residence permits valid at last 03 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member states.

 

Professional Documents:

  • For Businessperson: Trade license (renewal) and company’s letterhead pad (2 blank pages) require for proprietorship, partnership, and limited company. (i) Additional documents for partnership: Business Agreement/Deed copy.  (ii) Additional documents for the limited company: Memorandum of the article, certificate of incorporation, form 12 (For limited company), VAT, IRC, and Membership certificate (If any). (iii) Business card:  02 pcs. 
  • For Employee: Original No objection certificate (NOC) mentioned. (i) Address, telephone, and fax number of the company. (ii) Name and position of the countersigning officer in the company. (iii) Name and position of applicants, number of years of service, pay slip / original salary statement/Government order (GO) & original note verbal (for official passport holders). (iv) Visiting card:  02 pcs.
  • For Student: Student ID copy, original school leave letter/ permission of absence mentioned full address, telephone number, name, and function of the person granting permission. If school trips then the purpose, the duration, and the destination must be mentioned in the letter of the school.
  • For Retired Person: Retirement documents.

 

Financial Documents:

  • Bank statement & solvency certificate (original with bank seal and signature) of Last 06 months for both company & personal.
  • Other financial documents such as FDR, saving certificate, share statement (If available).
  • Income tax certificate copy (last 3 years), E-TIN certificate copy.
  • Valuation of other assets such as land, buildings (If any).
  • If a friend/relative in Australia is paying for your visit then a Statutory Declaration stating the relative or friend’s support and evidence of their financial capacity to do so – for example a letter of invitation, bank statements and tax documents.
  • It is important to provide evidence of your own financial status even if your trip is being funded by a friend or a relative. Your own financial status is a factor that is considered in assessing whether your personal circumstances would encourage you to return to your home country.

 

Overseas Documents:

  • For Tourist Purpose: Personal Invitation letter & evidence of your inviter’s passport and status in Australia (If available).
  • For Business Visit: A letter of invitation from the host organization in Australia. Including conference registration details, reasons for applicant’s visit, itinerary with contact details of the business parties involved, and applicant’s employment contract details.

 

Travel Documents:

  • Air Booking Copy.
  • Hotel Booking.

 

Processing Time and Fees

The processing time for an Australia tourist visa from Bangladesh varies depending on several factors, including the type of visa and the volume of applications received. Generally, it takes between 15 to 30 days for visa processing. The visa application fee also varies depending on the type and duration of the visa.
